Three academic journals published by the Institute of Chinese Studies, CUHK, have been included as the source journal of the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) in the year 2023 to 2024. The three journals are: Journals of Chinese Studies (JCS), Current Research in Chinese Linguistics (CrCL), and Studies in Chinese Linguistics (SCL).

 Introductions:

1. Journals of Chinese Studies (JCS) is managed by an editorial board headed by a chairman who serves as chief editor and assisted by an associate chief editor. The chief editor is Professor Lai Chi Tim, appointed by the Director of the Institute of Chinese Studies. The time frame of coverage and subject-matters of the scholarly articles being published over the past decades vary widely, ranging from the prehistorical era to modern and contemporary China, and theyrun the gamut of Chinese history and civilization from the earliest times to the present. In addition to CSSCI, JCS is also indexed and abstracted in EBSCO Discovery Service, SCOPUS, and THCI.

2. Current Research in Chinese Linguistics (CrCL) debuted in 1989 as an open platform for current research in all areas of Chinese linguistics. Besides CSSCI, the journal is indexed and abstracted in seven databases, including EBSCO Discovery Service, Linguistic Bibliography Online, Linguistics Abstracts Online, MLA International Bibliography, TCI, TDOne, and THCI.

3.Studies in Chinese Linguistics (SCL) began its publication in 1980 and has transitioned to publishing in English by Sciendo since 2015, which has been committed to fostering a forum for research and studies of comparative linguistics and dialectal grammar under a comparative approach worldwide. In addition to CSSCI, SCL is available from over 30 indexation services, including DOAJ, EBSCO, ERIH PLUS, MLA International Bibliography, SCOPUS, etc.

We look forward to seeing more valuable scholarly works to be published in these three journals, which will continue to serve as a platform of scholarly influence to the academic community.
